SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Three Cougars reached double-digits in kills as the Cal State San Marcos fell in four sets (19-25, 25-23, 20-25, 19-25) to visiting Cal State L.A. on Friday night in the CCAA conference opener at The Sports Center.
The Cougars drop to 6-3 overall and 0-1 in conference while the Golden Eagles moved to 5-4, 1-0 CCAA play.
Freshman
Madi Anderson and sophomore
Lauren Lee each tallied double-doubles in the contest. Anderson finished with 12 kills and 13 digs while Lee nabbed 10 kills and 13 digs. Senior
Brooke Butler recorded 10 kills. Sophomore
Faith Fortune registered six blocks including four solo blocks.
Alma Serna led the Golden Eagles with 14 kills and six blocks.
The Cougars continue their home stand tomorrow night, hosting Cal State Dominguez Hills at 5 p.m. at The Sports Center.
