CSUSM led by as much as 14 points, on two different occasions, in the first half aided by 57.1 shooting percentage (16-28) that included four three-pointers. The Cougars went into halftime with a 39-26 lead thanks to Johnson's 10 points.

LPU cut the margin to seven points, 45-38, in the second half. It would be the closest the Warriors would get as CSUSM finished the game strong on a 38-14 run to account for the final score.
