SAN FRANCISCO – The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team fell to San Francisco State 1-0 in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play on Sunday afternoon at Cox Stadium.
Jada Williams connected on a cross from Autumn Fox for what proved to be the game-winner in the 76
th minute.
CSUSM (4-3-4, 2-3-1 CCAA) held a 3-2 advantage in corner kicks, but the Gators edged the Cougars in shots, 15-14, and a 7-4 shot-on-goal advantage.
The Gators snapped a three-match losing streak and a five-match losing streak. SFSU improved to 6-4-3, 3-3-2 CCAA.
Jessica Harloe nearly tied it up for the Cougars by hitting the post in the 86
th minute.
 
CSUSM will host its final two home matches of the year next Friday and Sunday against Cal State L.A. and Cal State Dominguez Hills, respectively.
