CSUSM's Streak Ends Sunday at Stan St.

TURLOCK, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team's recent run of success hit a road block on Sunday at Stanislaus State, as the Cougars fell 3-1 to the Warriors in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play at Warrior Stadium.

Megan Pfrunder put the Cougars ahead in the 35th minute, but Stan St. answered with two goals in a span of two minutes to take a 2-1 lead by the 40th. The Warriors added an insurance goal in the 84th.

CSUSM, which entered the day riding its first-ever three-match CCAA winning streak, drops to 7-4-4 overall and 5-4-1 in CCAA play. Stan St. improves to 10-6-0, 4-6-0 CCAA.

Pfrunder was assisted by Channel Felix and Katie Largent on her second goal of the season.
