The Sports Center is completed for the 2016 season. CSUSM played its home matches last year at Pacific Ridge School in Carlsbad. From 2011-13, the Cougars called Escondido High School their home.
Humboldt State PreviewAll-time vs. HSU: First meeting.
HSU Breakdown: With last weekend off, the Lumberjacks have only four matches under their belts. HSU traveled to Hawaii in its opening weekend, returning with a 2-2 record. The Lumberjacks registered a pair of four-set victories over Hawaii Pacific and No. 21 BYU-Hawai'i before dropping matches to Simon Fraser (2-3) and Chaminade (1-3).
UC San Diego PreviewAll-time vs. UCSD: First meeting.
UCSD Breakdown: At the Colorado Premier Challenge last weekend, the Tritons dropped three consecutive four-set matches to No. 1 Tampa, No. 7 Central Missouri and Angelo State before collecting a 3-1 victory over Colorado Mesa in the tournament finale.
Cal State San Bernardino PreviewAll-time vs. CSUSB: First meeting.
CSUSB Breakdown: The Coyotes went undefeated in their home tournament last weekend, recording sweeps over New Mexico Highlands, Concordia (Calif.) and Fort Lewis. Western New Mexico is the only team to collect a set victory against CSUSB.
Last Weekend RecapThe Cougars went 2-2 at Cal State San Bernardino Coyote Classic last weekend. CSUSM opened the weekend with a four-set victory over New Mexico Highlands before going the distance in a five-set thriller against Westminster (Utah). The Cougars dropped both matches on Saturday, falling in three sets to Western New Mexico and four-sets to Concordia (Calif.).

Andrea Leonard enters her fifth season in charge of the Cougar women's volleyball team, a program she has built from the ground up since arriving on campus in 2010. Entering this season, she has accumulated an 112-46 (.709) record at CSUSM that included four Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Conference Tournament Championships and four trips to the NAIA National Championships.
New TerritoryAfter nine seasons of competition in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the Cougars enter their first season of NCAA Division II competition in 2015. CSUSM is currently in the second year of a three-year transition to full NCAA Division II membership. As a part of the transition, the Cougars will be ineligible for postseason play in 2015 and 2016.
New ConferenceCal State San Marcos is a part of the 13-team
California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), made up of 12 CSU institutions and UC San Diego. The CCAA is one of the premier NCAA Division II leagues in the nation. Its teams have won more national championships (153) than any other conference.
