HAYWARD, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team dropped a four-set decision at Cal State East Bay in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play on Thursday night at Pioneer Gym. Final scores were 24-26, 25-18, 25-16 and 25-22.
The Cougars came out on fire, hitting .280 behind 20 kills to take the first set. The following three sets, CSUSM tallied a .094 clip to the Pioneers' .237.
Senior
Taylor DeGraaf snagged her seventh double-double with 14 kills and 18 digs in the match. Fellow classmate
Jordan Banich also recorded a double-double with 12 kills and 15 digs. Junior
Brooke Butler finished one kill shy of a double-double with nine kills and 13 digs.
CSUEB's Kiki Leuteneker led all hitters with 21 kills and a .309 clip.
The Cougars close out their 2015 season tomorrow night at San Francisco State. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.
