CARSON, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team snapped a three-match losing streak with a 1-0 victory at Cal State Dominguez Hills in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play on Sunday afternoon at Toro Stadium.
Paulina Good's header in the 36
th minute provided the difference as the Cougars improved to 2-5-3 overall and 2-3-1 in CCAA play. CSUDH drops to 1-9-0, 0-5-0 CCAA.
The victory marks the Cougars' first CCAA road win in program history. In addition, the Cougars avoided suffering their first four-match losing skid since 2007.
The Cougars outshot the Toros, 12-4, and placed half of their shots on frame.
Allie Jara made two saves in the first shutout of her CSUSM career.
Morgan Simmons and
Natalie Lara combined in the final third and Lara chipped it up for Good, who buried the header for her second goal of the season.

Amy Wilson each had a pair of shots on-frame.
The Cougars return home next weekend to face San Francisco State and Cal State Monterey Bay in CSUSM's final home CCAA games of 2015. CSUSM takes on SFSU on Friday before hosting CSUMB on Sunday.
