CHICO, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team surrendered the game's only score in the 89
th minute of its 1-0 loss to Chico State in the Cougars' California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) regular season finale on Sunday at University Soccer Field.
Emily Shleppey's free kick from the top of the box deflected off a CSUSM defender and snuck in the goal to hand the Wildcats the lead at the 88:12 mark of the second half.
The loss drops the Cougars to 3-8-5 overall and they end their first season of CCAA play with a 3-6-3 conference mark. Chico State improves to 10-4-2, 6-3-0 CCAA.
