SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team fell in three consecutive sets to Cal State Dominguez Hills in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play on Tuesday night at Hunter Gym. Final scores were 25-23, 25-15, 25-20.
The Toros outperformed CSUSM in every category except aces. The Cougars finished with six aces to CSUDH's three.
The Cougars drop to 5-17 overall and 2-12 in CCAA play. The Toros improve to 7-13, 5-7 CCAA.
Senior
Jordan Banich tallied a match-high 12 kills in addition to her 10 digs. Senior
Taylor DeGraaf snagged seven kills and three aces. Sophomore
Ashley Kaylor collected 15 digs.
Vanessa Phyakeo and Alijah Gunsaulus led the Toros with 10 kills apiece.
After a 10-day break, the Cougars are back on the road with trips to Chico State (Oct. 30) and Stanislaus State (Oct. 31).
