LOS ANGELES – The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team dropped its first-ever California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) road match, 2-0, at Cal State L.A. on Friday night at Jesse Owens Track.
Katelyn Fregosi and Victoria Arredondo scored in the 44
th and 69
th minute, respectively, as the Golden Eagles improved to 2-5-2 overall and 2-2-1 in CCAA play.
The Cougars drop to 1-5-3 overall and 1-3-1 in CCAA play.
CSUSM outshot CSULA, 13-10, and the Cougars made Golden Eagle goalkeeper Adriana Maldonado make eight saves on the evening.
Sidney Hernandez placed all three of her shots on-frame.
CSUSM will seek to stop its three-match losing streak on Sunday at 2 p.m. against Cal State Dominguez Hills.
