ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team suffered its most lob-sided defeat of the season at the hands of No. 11 Sonoma State, 4-0, in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play on Friday afternoon at Seawolf Soccer Field.
The Cougars drop to 3-6-4 overall and 3-4-2 in CCAA play. SSU improves to 9-1-2, 6-0-1 CCAA.
Sara Von Wagoner handed the Seawolves a 1-0 lead at the break before McKenzie Maher scored twice and Ale Gonzalez added an insurance goal in the second half.
The Cougars came into the contest 2-0-1 over their last three contests.
