SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Meghan Randig scored for the second consecutive match and the Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team downed Cal State Monterey Bay 1-0 in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) on Sunday at The Cougar Den.

Randig flicked in Morgan Simmons' shot in the 15^th minute for the game's only goal. The sophomore also had the Cougars' only goal in Friday's 1-1 tie with San Francisco State and now leads the team with three scores on the year.

CSUSM improves to 3-5-4 overall and 3-3-2 in CCAA play. The Cougars have been on a positive up-tick of late. After dropping three straight between Sept. 25- and Oct. 2, the squad has gone 2-0-1 and captured seven points over its last three matches.

CSUMB remains winless in conference play and drops to 3-9-1 overall and 0-6-1 CCAA.

The Cougars have four more conference matches in 2015, all on the road. CSUSM travels to face Sonoma State and Humboldt State on Friday, Oct. 16 and Sunday, Oct. 18, respectively.
