Last time out: L, 0-1 (2OT); Britney Vance scored with 1:11 remaining in the second overtime to lift the Toros.
CSUSM will get a taste of what it is like to compete in the CCAA when the Cougars take on Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday in Carson. CSUDH has yet to play an official match this season, but the Toros are playing Point Loma on Thursday afternoon. The Toros were picked to finish ninth in the CCAA in the preseason conference coaches' poll. In 2013, CSUDH placed sixth in the CCAA South Division.
Southern Oregon PreviewAll-time vs. SOU: First meeting between the squads
Southern Oregon has struggled a bit out of the gate, falling in three straight matches since a 2-0 victory in its season opener against Marymount (Calif.). In their most recent contest, the Raiders saw a 2-0 lead disappear as Menlo erupted for three consecutive goals to secure a 3-2 victory. The Raiders have given up eight goals in their first four matches.
East Oregon RecapDespite outshooting the Mountaineers 21-2 in their season opener on Aug. 24, the Cougars came away with a 0-0 tie in their first meeting with EOU. CSUSM hit the crossbar twice, were victim to a couple of point-blank saves and squandered a handful of one-on-one opportunities. Freshman
Megan Pfrunder looked dangerous up top, as well as senior
Amy Young. For a recap of the match, click
