Box Score MERCED, Calif. – The No. 1 Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team increased its winning streak to 13 games in a 120-72 victory over UC Merced on Monday night at Hostetler Court.
De'End Parker filled up the stat sheet, leading the Cougars with 21 points, seven assists, and seven rebounds.
Bobby Macias tallied 19 points off the bench, going 7-of-8 from the floor and 2-of-3 from behind the arc.
Malcolm Lemmons had 17 points and eight boards, while
Jason Johnson matched Parker with seven assists.
The Cougars improve to 22-1 overall. CSUSM now holds the highest winning percentage in the NAIA (.995) and is tied for the most wins with Dalton State (Ga.).
Tomorrow's release of the NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll will be intriguing. Co-No. 1 Freed-Hardeman (17-1) fell at the buzzer to Lindenwood-Belleville, 78-77, on Jan. 30, snapping FHU's undefeated season. CSUSM and FHU are the only remaining one-loss teams in NAIA Division I.
