Box Score CHANDLER, Ariz. - Taran Brown hit five 3-pointers and led the way with 18 points as the No. 1 Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team topped Lethbridge, 96-73, in CSUSM's first game of the Chandler-Gilbert Classic hosted by University of Great Falls (Mont.) on Thursday night.

Akachi Okugo and Wade Collie each hit a trio of 3-pointers and finished with 13 and 11 points, respectively. Blake Nash dished out a team-high six assists and added a six-pack of steals. Dayton Boddie tallied 12 points.

Collie and Tony Freelend went 4-of-5 from the field. CSUSM shot 44.8 percent (13-of-29) from behind the arc.

The Cougars improve to 13-1 overall and have now won three straight since suffering its only loss of the season on Dec. 4 at Azusa Pacific. Lethbridge drops to 5-6.

CSUSM faces Montana-State Northern tomorrow at 5 p.m. The Cougars will conclude the tournament on Saturday at noon against host Great Falls
