ATHERTON, Calif. – Turnover woes continued for the Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team Saturday afternoon as the Cougars dropped an 88-56 decision to No. 14 Menlo College at Haynes-Prim Pavilion.

Brianna Higgins paced CSUSM with 19 points and eight rebounds, while senior
Mackenzie Harnett scored 11 points. Senior
Heather Thompson added 10 points and six rebounds.
CSUSM turned over the ball a season-high 27 times and the Oaks capitalized by tallying 36 points off the turnovers.
The Cougars made 19-of-43 from the field for 44 percent and for the first time this season was shutout from three-point range, going 0-for-5. Menlo, unfortunately, was on fire from beyond the arc, shooting 52.6 percent (10-of-19).
Four Menlo players reached double-digits with Aaliyah Sowards leading the way with 15 points.
The Cougars (1-9) return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 17 when they host Concordia (Calif.) at MiraCosta College. Tip-off is 7:30 p.m.
