Unbeaten November
The Cougars are off to their best start in program history, besting their 9-1 start a season ago. CSUSM is one of two teams with double-digit victories in the NAIA, along with Campbellsville (Ky.) (10-1). The Cougars are in the nation's top-10 in total assists (14^th, 61), 3-pointers (5^th, 86), scoring offense (8^th, 824) and total steals (9^th, 85).

Last time out: L, 73-88 (Jan. 26, 2012); The Cougars led early on, but solid long-range shooting from Azusa Pacific helped APU overtake CSUSM in the second half. APU was 7-of-18 from long range.
Breakdown: Azusa Pacific, which spent many years as an NAIA institution before transitioning to NCAA Division II, has played one of the toughest non-conference schedules in NCAA DII. The Cougars have won five straight, including a road victory over No. 12 Chico State. Troy Leaf paces APU with 21.7 points per game.
