A.I.I. Preview
The Cougars received the No. 1-seed for this weekend's A.I.I. Championship on the campus of Ashford. CSUSM will take on No. 4-seed University of Houston-Victoria in Friday's semifinal. The opposite semifinal will feature No. 2-seed Georgia Gwinnett and host, No. 3-seed Ashford. The winner of the A.I.I. tournament receives an automatic bid into the NAIA National Championship, which will begin on campus sites on Nov. 22 and conclude on Dec. 6.

A.I.I. History
CSUSM is historically the strongest program in the A.I.I. Championship. The Cougars will be making their seventh consecutive appearance in the conference tournament and is seeking their fifth conference crown. CSUSM won its first two tries at the conference title in 2008 and 2009. It added its third in 2011 and then took down Ashford for its fourth title in 2013. Three players have been named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player: Paulina Good (2013), Lauren Misklevitz (2011) and Kelly Wherry (2008).

Can't Crack Us
The Cougars enter the postseason on a 10-match unbeaten streak, the second longest in program history. CSUSM can tie its longest unbeaten streak by advancing in its semifinal over Houston-Victoria. The team has not fallen since Sept. 17, and has shutout its opponents in four straight matches and in seven of the last eight.

Point Loma Recap
The Cougars accomplished something that they had failed to do in their first eight years as a program, and they did it under first-year head coach Bobby Renneisen. Good's header off a cross from Brianne Searl provided the difference as CSUSM beat crosstown foe Point Loma, 1-0, in the regular season finale on Nov. 4. The Cougars were previously 0-5-3 against the Sea Lions. PLNU recently was granted full NCAA Division II status and now competes in the PacWest Conference.

Houston-Victoria Preview
