Box Score OAKLAND, Calif. – Amy Young notched a hat trick in the game's first 20 minutes and the Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team shutout an overmatched Mills College squad, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon.
Six different Cougars scored as CSUSM put up its third-highest goal total in program history, and most since 2011. The Cougars have won four straight and improve to 6-2-1 overall.
CSUSM led 5-0 by halftime and ended up outshooting the Cyclones 40-1 on the afternoon. The 40 shots were the second-most in program history.
Courtney Kay scored twice while
Sarah Campbell contributed two assists and a goal.
Yeya Millan and
Cody Biedermann each scored for the first time in their respective Cougar careers; Biedermann also assisted on Kay's first goal.
Monica Aguilera added her first goal of the season in the 79
th.
Brianne Searl and
Alexa Watkins each had an assist.
The Cougars have outscored their opponents 16-1 during their four-game win streak.
