No. 15 CSUSM Heads North to Play Mills, UC Santa Cruz

SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Winner of three straight, the No. 15 Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team hits the road for the final time during the regular season and looks to enhance its resume with road tilts at Mills College and UC Santa Cruz.

Last Time Out
CSUSM won its third consecutive match last Sunday, 3-0, over visiting Embry-Riddle (Ariz.). The teams went into the break tied 0-0, but Morgan Simmons got on the end of a Brianne Searl corner kick in the 53rd minute, heading in her first career goal to make it 1-0. Amy Young scored a penalty and Amy Alber capped it off in the 75th.

Mills Preview

CSUSM and Mills will be playing each other for the first time in each program's history on Saturday. The Cyclones have had a rough go of it in 2014. Mills is yet to score and each loss has been by five goals or more.

UC Santa Cruz Preview

The Banana Slugs enter Sunday's match after a 6-0 victory at Mills College on Sept. 26, which snapped a two-match losing skid. Sara Sadler leads all UCSC players with nine goals on the year.

Schedule Outlook
CSUSM will host their final five games at home versus Marymount (Calif.) (Oct. 16, 1 p.m.), Bethesda (Oct. 18, 1p.m.), San Diego Christian (Oct. 24, 3 p.m.), Antelope Valley (Oct. 25, 12 p.m.) and Point Loma (Nov. 4, 1 p.m.).

Home Games Moved to Multipurpose Field
All remaining home matches featuring the Cal State San Marcos soccer teams will be played on the CSUSM Multipurpose Field. The Multipurpose Field is located directly next to Lot Z. Lot Z will continue to have free parking for all CSUSM home games.
