Unbeaten Streak
The Cougars' unbeaten streak has increased to seven games, tying for the third longest such streak in program history. CSUSM also went unbeaten in seven straight between Aug. 27-Sept. 11, 2011. In 2009, CSUSM went eight games without a loss. But the record was set in 2010, when CSUSM was unbeaten in 11 matches between Sept. 11-Oct. 27. This year's squad has not fallen since an 0-3 loss at No. 5 Concordia (Calif.) on Sept. 17.

Seniors To Be Honored
The CSUSM women's soccer team will honor nine seniors for their service to the program prior to Saturday's match against Antelope Valley: Kimi Mendenhall, Amanda Sears, Amy Alber, Courtney Kay, Kelly Skvarna, Monica Aguilera, Amy Young, Brianne Searl and Nicole Luna.

A.I.I. Tournament Taking Shape
The Cougars are currently ranked No. 1 in the Conference/A.I.I./Unaffiliated Group Poll released Tuesday. CSUSM is ahead of No. 2 Georgia Gwinnet, No. 3 Ashford (Iowa) and No. 4 Houston-Victoria. If the season were to end today, CSUSM would have the No. 1 seed for the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Conference Championship, Nov. 14-15 in Clinton, Iowa.

Big Winners
CSUSM secured its second 9-0 win of the season on Saturday against Bethesda. On Oct. 4, the Cougars put up nine against an overmatched Mills College squad in Oakland. The nine goals are tied for the third-most goals ever scored in a single match by the Cougars. CSUSM had 11 against Bethesda on Oct. 1, 2011, and 13 against Southwestern College on Oct. 31, 2009.

San Diego Christian Preview
All-time vs. SDCC: 4-1-1
Last time out: W, 1-0 (Sept. 17, 2013) CSUSM went on the road to take down the Hawks last season. Then-sophomore Natalie Lara scored her first goal as a Cougar in the 54th minute to provide the difference in the game. Amanda Sears earned a shutout and the Cougars improved to 4-0-1 on its young 2013 season.
SDCC Breakdown: After starting the season with four wins in its first eight games, SDCC has dropped three of its last four. The Hawks have two road matches against top 25 teams this week – at No. 22 Biola on Wednesday, and at CSUSM Saturday.

Antelope Valley Preview
All-time vs. UAV: 1-0
Last time out: W, 5-0 (Oct. 26, 2013) CSUSM and UAV have met just once in the past, last season on the Cougars' Senior Day. Five different CSUSM players scored in the win, including Courtney Kay, Ashley Graves, Brianne Searl and Natalie Lara. Then-senior Kaylea Bradley scored her first career goal in the 40th minute.
UAV Breakdown: The Pioneers snapped a five-match winless streak with a 3-2 victory over UC Merced their last time out on Oct. 19. Katelyn Christensen leads UAV with seven goals, while Shawna Saita has scored three.

Schedule Outlook
After this week's games, CSUSM has one regular-season match remaining - against Point Loma (Tuesday, Nov. 4, 1 p.m.) at home.
