LAS VEGAS – The 15th-ranked Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team and No. 24 Rocky Mountain played to a 0-0 draw (2OT) on Sunday afternoon.
CSUSM moves to 3-0-1 on the year, while RMC adjusts to 4-2-1.
"I feel like we let one get away today. We had some serious chances and missed a penalty late in the game," said CSUSM head coach Ron Pulvers. "Our goal is to be more focused and energetic. We didn't have the right process in place to get the result today. We'll regroup and get ready for a tough stretch coming up."
The Cougars appear comfortable on the road early on and have taken seven points in their three road games this season. This week will test the team's road aptitude, as CSUSM travels to play Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) schools San Diego Christian (Tues., Sept. 17), Biola (Thur., Sept. 19) and No. 21 The Master's College (Sat., Sept. 21).
CSUSM's next home match is on Tuesday, Sept. 24 vs. No. 25 Concordia (Calif.) at 4:00 p.m. on Mangrum Soccer Field.
