CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. - The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team recently volunteered at Operation Help a Hero at Camp Pendleton.
Members of the team helped clean barracks at the military base and compiled care packages to send to troops overseas.
"It is important that we help and support the young men and women that are serving this country here and abroad," said CSUSM head coach
Ron Pulvers. "Anything we can do to make their lives a little more comfortable is great."
Operation Help A Hero is dedicated to the well-being and care of American military members. The program supports military units and families as they prepare for separation, while they endure the challenges of deployment, and as they transition back to the United States.
