SAN DIEGO, Calif.— Invitations to the 67
th annual San Diego Hall of Champions Dinner have been released, and CSUSM volleyball co-captain
Brittany Thompson will be among the many professional stars and local standouts at the event February 25
th.
The Hall of Champions will be electing members into the Hall of Fame such as Padres great Trevor Hoffman, U.S. National Team and San Diego Sockers legend Brian Quinn, and former world No. 1 wrestler and New England Patriot offense lineman Thomas Neal. Many standout collegiate athletes will also be recognized, including CSUSM's own Kaitlin McGinley, Amber Rosario, and Daniel Lyon.
Thompson provided outstanding leadership for the second year CSUSM volleyball program as it reached new heights in 2012, sweeping every set of the A.I.I. Conference Tournament and winning two games at the NAIA National Championships in Sioux City, Iowa. The Cougars reached as high as ninth in the coaches' poll, and finished the season ranked No. 18 in the NAIA.
