Tournament Time
The Cougars will be looking for their third A.I.I. title in the past five seasons this weekend. If CSUSM is able to get past GGC, they will take on the winner of No. 1-seed Ashford (12-3) and No. 4-seed Lindenwood-Belleville (9-8-1). The winner of the single-elimination tournament will receive an automatic berth to the NAIA National Tournament. All games will be streamed live on the Grizzly Digital Network. CSUSM's semifinal game will be free for viewers, but there will be a $7.95 charge for the final if the Cougars were to make it.

A.I.I. Tournament History
CSUSM will be making its sixth-straight appearance at the A.I.I. postseason tournament on Friday. The Cougars have advanced to the finals in all but one of their appearances. Last season, the Cougars fell to Ashford 1-0 in the title game in San Marcos. Their last championship came in 2011 via a 1-0 victory over Thomas (Ga.). Kaleigh Dodson, now a senior, provided the game winner. CSUSM also took home the title in 2008 and 2009, both in shootouts.

#Trending
CSUSM won five of its last seven matches to end the regular season with a 9-5-1 overall record. Sisters Natalie Lara and Jacqueline Lara combined for four goals in that span, scoring a pair apiece. CSUSM has played 14 straight shutouts. Both teams haven't scored in the same game since its season opener on August 31.
