BOUNCE BACK
The Cougars rebounded from their first three-game losing streak since 2007 with back-to-back 1-0 wins over Rocky Mountain and Westminster in Salt Lake City on Sept. 27 and 29, respectively. Jacqueline Lara and Jessica Wilds provided the game winners while Amanda Sears netted both shutouts. The pair of wins mark the first time since 2011 that the Cougars have won two straight 1-0 matches.

POLL SITTERS
The Cougars were ranked No. 21 in last week's NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll, marking the 43rd consecutive week in which CSUSM has been included. The last time the Cougars weren't nationally ranked was in 2009.

BETHESDA PREVIEW
The Flames enter Tuesday's contest at 3-5-1 overall and 1-2-1 over their last four matches. BUC was dealt an 11-0 loss by No. 1 Vanguard in its most recent contest. Interestingly, that was the same score line of the only previous match between Bethesda and CSUSM on Oct. 1, 2011. Kelly Skvarna scored twice and added an assist, while Kaleigh Dodson and Mary Green each scored a goal. The Flames forfeited last season's proposed match-up due to a lack of available players.

SHOOTIN' BLANKS
The Cougars have been involved in a shutout in nine consecutive matches. The last time both teams scored in the same game was CSUSM's season opener, a 3-2 double-overtime victory vs. Whittier.
