th-ranked Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team registered its eighth-straight win with a 75-64 road victory over Pacific Union College on Monday night at The Covered Wagon.
Quincy Lawson scored 16 and
Bryan Emanuel added 10 as CSUSM (16-4) won its 11
th game in its last 12 contests while remaining undefeated in 2013.
PUC dropped to 2-12 on the season, despite four players finishing in double figures and double-doubles from Will Bell and Ben Vincent.
The Cougars shot just 36.5% from the field, but held the Pioneers to 28.8% shooting while forcing 21 total turnovers. CSUSM tripled PUC in assists, 13-4, led by
Hakeem Washington's four and Gasporra's three.
CSUSM is off for the next eight days before returning to competition on Wednesday, January 23 at Point Loma Nazarene. The Cougars topped the Sea Lions 51-46 earlier this season on Dec. 5.
