Box Score There's something about this time of year that brings out the best in the Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team, and this year appears to be no exception, given the Cougars' 5-0 road win over Marymount (CA) on Sunday.

#7-ranked CSUSM improves to 13-2-1 on the season.  Marymount drops to 4-8-2.
 
Over the last few seasons, when mid-October hits and the post-season is in sight, Coach Ron Pulvers' Cougars seem to shift gears and resolve any lingering issues from the season.  The team was in peak form on Sunday, scoring early and often and suffocating the Marymount attack.
 
“We start to get hot around this time of year,” noted Pulvers.  “I feel good about where we're going.”
