Dallon Williams continued her outstanding season for Cougar cross-country, finishing first amongst the women at the Ursula Rains Balboa Boogie. Fellow Cougar Muluken Beressa finished 3rd amongst the men.
Both the men and women competed in the same 5K race, which took place at Morley Field in San Diego. Though the race was part of the USATF Dirt Dog Series, UCSD competed as well.
Beressa ran 15:28 to place 3rd overall in the race, which 261 people competed in. Cougar teammate Dave Edwards was close behind, taking 5th with a time of 15:40. Chris Capeau joined them in the top-10 with a time of 15:55, good for 8th place, and Pat Fitzgerald took 14th with a time of 16:04.
On the women's side, Dallon Williams won the race going away, running 17:10. She has now finished 1st, 4th, and 1st at the three races she's competed in this season.
Cady Villarreal also continued her great Fall, running 17:45 to place third. Jessica Sandoval placed 8th with a time of 18:33, Sin Carrano was 10th at 18:57, and Lindsey McKown was 11th overall among the women at 19:09.
The Cougars will be competing in two weeks in their own front yard at the Cougar Invitational!
