The Cougars continued to have trouble scoring goals - a theme that has unfortunately persisted throughout this season. CSUSM took 6 shots and put 3 on net, but could not beat Biola keeper Erin Frushon.
Biola finally broke the scoreless tie in the 84th minute, as Amy Atkinson knocked a nice cross that found the head of Sam David, who beat Cougar keeper Kaycee Gunion. Gunion made three saves on the day.
For the Cougars, midfielders Taylor Ziencina and Kelly Wherry accounted for 2 of the 3 shots on goal, while freshman Shelby Bush added the third.
CSUSM will be in action on Monday, October 12th, when they travel to take on the University of La Verne. Their next home game is against San Diego Christian on October 14th.
