It was a frustrating day for Cougar women's soccer, as the squad did everything but find the back of the net in a 0-0 tie with San Diego Christian on Wednesday.

The tie brings CSUSM to 4-4-4 on the season and San Diego Christian to 3-8-2.

CSUSM out-shot its opponent 19-5 and held a 6-2 corner kick advantage, but could not find their touch inside the box.  The Cougars created a few very dangerous opportunities, especially in the first overtime, but Hawks' keeper Kylie Garcilasco was up for the test when those shots were on net. 

Forward Taylor Schurman was active up front, putting two shots on goal.  The Cougar defense was stout, limiting San Diego Christian's chances in support of keeper Brittini Salmon, who played all 110 minutes to earn her second consecutive shutout.

Cougar women's soccer will be at Soka University next Friday, the 23rd.
