Taylor DeGraaf is the Cal State San Marcos Athlete of the Week after leading CSUSM to their second consecutive A.I.I. Championship on Saturday. The sophomore outside hitter was recently named A.I.I. Player of the Year, and backed up her claim to the award by also winning the A.I.I. Tournament Most Valuable Player award in leading the Cougars to four straight-set sweeps of their tournament opponents. In all, DeGraaf tallied 70 kills in the two-day tournament— 25 more than the next closest individual— and recorded the second best attacking percentage (.430) and number of service aces (7) in the competition.
