Junior Steven Gouirand helped the Cougars to a second place finish in the 2012 A.I.I. Championship, where they defeated heavily favored British Columbia. He then went on to finish 23rd individually in the NAIA National Championships on the Creekside Country Club in Salem, Oregon. His daily scores of 75-77-73-74 led the Cougars in 3 of the 4 rounds en route to a 18th place team finish overall.
