Alvano, a senior guard from Corona, averaged team-highs for the month of November in points (19.3), assists (7.7) and minutes (30.6) per game as well as steals (19) and made free throws (27-of-31). He was named CCAA Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 6-12 after scoring 18 points and eight assists in the season opener. Alvano also notched a career high as well as a CSUSM school record for most points scored in a single game with 42 the following night against Concordia Irvine. He leads the CCAA 19.6 points and 7.3 assists per game in addition to the best assists/turnover ratio (3.9) in the conference. The Cougars went 6-1 during the month of November.
