Todd Snedden was appointed by Director of Athletics Jennifer Milo to the position of Associate Director of Athletics on July 1, 2012.
He oversees all internal operations of the department, academics and student support services, health and wellness programming, the scholar-athlete luncheon held for students finishing with a 3.0 or higher GPA and assists the Director of Athletics with day-to-day operations of the department.

Snedden is the liaison to Human Resources and Faculty Affairs as well as serving on the Executive Council for the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) conference. He is a member of CSUSM’s Clery Compliance Team. Â
Before his current role, Snedden had served three years as Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance, overseeing eligibility and admissions.
Snedden started off his career as a mentor for student athletes in 1992 while he pursued a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration from the University of New Mexico. He has been working with student-athletes ever since.
He did his internship field work at Fresno State, got his first advising job at the University of New Mexico in 1993, then moved to San Diego in 1994 where he was later hired to start an academic support program at Grossmont College in El Cajon. In 1998, Snedden transferred to San Diego State where he worked for seven years before accepting a role at CSUSM.

In 1988, Snedden earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Fresno State.
Snedden has a wife, two children and two granddaughters, Hayley and Harper. He loves his commute (which is all of three miles to campus). Â
