Before making his way to CSUSM, Morrison worked on the athletic communications staff at NCAA Division I's Little Rock beginning in Sept. 2014 as the athletic communications assistant and served as the primary sport contact for volleyball, baseball and swimming and diving programs. In Nov. 2016, Morrison was promoted to Assistant Director of Athletic Communications and served as the contact for the same sports. Morrison was then promoted to the Associate Director of Athletic Communications in Sept. 2017 and served as the primary sport contact for the Little Rock women's basketball, volleyball and track and field/cross country programs.

At Little Rock, Morrison led publicity efforts in volleyball for one Sun Belt Conference championship (2014), a second-round NCAA Tournament run (2014), one AVCA All-American Honorable Mention (Edina Begc), a Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year (Edina Begic) and two AVCA All-Region Team winners (Edina Begic and Edina Selimovic). As of 2016, Morrison has helped the program earn 19 Sun Belt Student-Athlete of the Week awards. For baseball, he led publicity efforts for Ryan Scott's six All-American honors and Sun Belt Student-Athlete of the Year honor in 2016.

Prior to his time at Sewanee, Morrison got his first taste of sports information as an intern to the Associate A.D. for Communications and Marketing at the Univeristy of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He worked home events for men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s tennis and softball.

In addition to his experiences in athletic communications, Morrison also spent time as a student intern with UT Chattanooga’s Assistant A.D. for Equipment and Facilities and the athletic department’s marketing team.

Morrison graduated Cum Laude from UT Chattanooga in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in health and human performance with a sports administration emphasis and a minor in business. He is also a member of CoSIDA and has served on the Publications and Digital Design Awards Committee since 2017.
