Jordan Friske was appointed Assistant Director of Athletics, Clarke Field House on June 26, 2017. He had previously served as the Fitness & Operations Supervisor for Campus Recreation since July of 2013.

In his new role, Friske oversees the Clarke Field House operations and manages the athletic fields, game day set-ups, facility memberships and the personal training program at the Clarke Field House. Friske also conducts the hiring, training, and supervising of over 40 student staff that operate the Athletics Facilities, including the Clarke Field House and The Sports Center. In addition to these duties, he serves on the ATOD (Alcohol, Tobacco, Other Drugs) committee.

When serving as the Fitness & Operations Supervisor with Campus Recreation (under the umbrella of Student Affairs), Friske supervised the Clarke Field House, the operations student staff of approximately 50 students, and all fitness programming, including the group fitness class schedule and all fitness special event programming.

Friske was a graduate assistant for Community Fitness at South Dakota State University prior to joining CSUSM.

A South Dakota native, Friske received his Bachelor’s degree in Health, Physical education, and Recreation in 2011. Currently, Friske lives in Escondido with his wife Emily and daughter Adelaide.
