Nancy diBenedetto joined the Cal State San Marcos Department of Athletics as an Assistant Cross Country/Track & Field Coach in February 2023.
A former CSUSM student-athlete and current School of Art lecturer, diBenedetto was recently the Head Cross Country/Track & Field Coach at Hilltop High School beginning in Jan. 2021.
Prior to taking the head job at Hilltop, diBenedetto was the Assistant Head Cross Country/Track & Field Coach at Troy High School in Fullerton, California, from Feb. 2019 to Jan. 2021.
diBenedetto began her coaching journey in Jan. 2011 as the Assistant Cross Country/Track & Field Coach at Canyon Crest Academy in San Diego, California, until Dec. 2016.
diBenedetto earned a Bachelor of Art in Visual and Performing Arts with an emphasis in Arts and Technology from CSUSM in 2011 and later earned her Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art with an emphasis in Photography from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2017.
She earned her USATF Level II Coaching Certification in Sprints, Hurdles & Relays in 2021.
