AS A SENIOR IN 2015: Started nine of 11 appearances at goalkeeper for CSUSM … Made a team-high 31 saves while posting a .674 save percentage and a 1.57 goals against average … Went 3-6-0 overall … Posted a shutout on Senior Day in a 2-0 victory over Embry-Riddle (11/7) … Will graduate as CSUSM’s career leader in wins (21), saves (134), goals against average (1.05), goalie games started (37), goalie minutes played (3,503) … Second all-time in saves per game (3.27) and save percentage (.766). 

AS A JUNIOR IN 2014: Started nine games between the pipes for CSUSM, going 5-3-0 while posting a goals-against average of 1.37 … Made 24 saves at a .667 rate … Season-high five saves in 1-0 win at Vanguard (9/3) and 3-2 win at No. 10 Concordia (9/17) … Played a part of four shutouts.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2013: All-Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) first team honoree ... Set single-season school records for saves (65) and saves per game (4.06) ... Recorded seven shutouts ... Posted a .73 goals against average ... Started all 16 games in which he appeared between the pipes ... His 12 saves at The Master's College on Sept. 21 stands as a school record ... Tallied five or more saves in five times ... Posted a .844 save-percentage.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2012: Made five appearances … Recorded 13 saves in his starting role and one save in a relief appearance … Did not give up a goal in his first three starts … Tied at fifth in CSUSM’s single-season school records with three shutouts … Set the men’s soccer single-season record for save percentage (.875) and goals against average (.048).

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of St. Augustine High School in San Diego, Calif. … Named First Team All-CIF in 2011 … Also played football and volleyball at St. Augustine High … Played club soccer for San Diego Surf.

PERSONAL: Parents are Dave and Tracy Sheppard … Has two brothers, Nathan and David … Majoring in Kinesiology and minoring in Nutrition … Intends to become a physician’s assistant or athletic trainer.
