AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2016:  Participated in the 800m, 1500m, 4x800m relay and DMR … Ran a 1500m personal-best of 4:05.91 at the Cal State L.A. Invitational (March 5) … Finished fifth and set an 800m season-best 1:56.18 at the Ross and Sharon Irwin Collegiate Scoring Meet (March 19) … Qualified for CCAA Championships in the 800m and 1500m … Two top 10 finishes in the 800m … Four top 25 results.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2015: NAIA Outdoor All-American in the 4x800m … Competed in the 800m, 4x400m, 4x800m and DMR … Member of 4x800m relay that finished 8^th (7:39.02) at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships (5/22) … Part of school record-setting DMR squad that broke a ten-year-old record with a time of 10:07.90 at the Rossi Relays (2/28) … Ran an 800m personal-best of 1:54.35 at the California Collegiate Invitational (4/4) … Three top-ten finishes in the 800m.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Westview High School in 2013…All-Palomar League first team in 2012…All-Palomar League second team in 2013 and 2011… Selected team MVP and captain his senior year… All-North County second team in 2011… broke school record in 800m with a time of 1:53.13 in 2013… member of the 4x400 team that broke school record at 3:20.17 in 2011… Palomar League champs in 4x400 in 2012… Was the starting varsity point guard his sophomore year.

PERSONAL: Son of Joseph and Jennifer Gronotte… Has a younger sister, Jackie … Plans on majoring in Elementary Education.
