AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2014: Started four of her eight appearances in the midfield … Put four of seven shots on-frame (.571).

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2013: Made six appearances in reserve roles for CSUSM.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended San Pasqual High School in Escondido, Calif. ... As an Eagle, Sydney earned awards such as, 2009 Volleyball Co-Captain, 2009 Volleyball Eagle award, 2011- 2013 varsity co-captain, CIF Sportsmanship award, All League and Avocado East League MVP ... Lists Escondido F.C. Heat & Carlsbad Elite as club soccer teams.

PERSONAL: Daughter to Cheryl and Hector Hernandez and also has a younger sister, Brooke ... Her father, Hector, played college soccer for both Palomar and US International University ...
