AS A SENIOR IN 2014: Named All-Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) First Team after starting all 14 of his appearances in central defense … Scored in CSUSM’s 3-2 road victory at No. 10 Concordia (Calif.) (9/17) … Recorded an assists on Sept. 21 vs. No. 23 Rocky Mountain … Played a part of five shutout victories … Started three games for the Guam National Team in the EAFF East Asian Cup, Nov. 13-19 in Chinese Taipei.

AS A JUNIOR IN 2013: All-Association of Independent Institutions second teamer ... Started all 17 games in the center back position ... Helped CSUSM secure seven shutouts ... Tallied two shots on Sept. 29 at Westminster ... Played a part of a Cougar back line that posted a .86 goals against average.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2012: Started four of eight games in which he appeared on the Cougar backline … Tallied one assist on the season in a 3-3 tie against Holy Names on August 31. 

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2010: Appeared in seven contests, making starts in two of them … Cougars won both games in which Grimes started.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2010 graduate of Temecula Valley High School in Temecula, Calif.

PERSONAL: Parents are Jim and Sandi Grimes … Has two older sisters, Leah and Jessica, and a younger brother, Jacob … Majoring in Criminology and Sociology … Intends to join the police academy … Enjoys watching sports, snowboarding and wishing he was as good looking as Josh during his spare time.
