COURSE REPORT: The Cal State San Marcos men's golf team secured the program's first-ever qualification to the NCAA Division II National Championships as a team after earning a share of fourth place at the NCAA Division II West/South Central Regional, finishing with a three-round score of 3-over 867 (285-296-286) at The Reserve at Spanos Park.

FIRST TEE

• Liam Weaver led the Cougars with a stellar performance, tying for second in the field at 9-under 207 (66-71-70).
• Kai Miyata tied for 10th place after carding a 1-under 215 (72-75-68).
• Gavin McCormick finished tied for 60th at 6-over 222 (74-76-72).
• Aiden Canada placed tied for 67th at 7-over 223 (73-74-76).
• Julian Gay scored a 76 in the opening round on Thursday and a 77 on Saturday while Johnny Sprague subbed in for him for Friday's round and contributed an 83.
