NORMAN, Okla. – Redshirt freshman Liam Weaver of the Cal State San Marcos men's golf team has been named to the NCAA Division II PING All-West Region Team, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced. Student-athletes across eight different regions and 59 schools earned All-Region honors in 2026.
 
Weaver is the sixth Cougar in program history to earn the honor at the NCAA Division II level, joining Ryan Bisharat, Matt Pennington, Braeden Koran, Dylan Healey and Dale Smith. Nine different Cougars took home a total of 16 NAIA All-West Region awards from 2007 through 2015.
 
The Coronado native led the team with a 72.6 scoring average in nine tournaments in 2025-26. Weaver finished in the top 10 in in three tournaments with his best finish being the NCAA Division II West/South Central Regional Runner-Up with a 9-under 207 (66-71-70).
