COURSE REPORT:
The Cal State San Marcos men's golf team placed third at the 2026 CCAA Men's Golf Championships, finishing with a three-round score of 6-over 870 (288-290-292) on Wednesday at The Reserve at Spanos Park.
Gavin McCormick was crowned the CCAA individual medalist with 4-under par 212.
FIRST TEE
- McCormick claimed medalist honors at 4-under par 212 (68-72-72), leading the entire field with 14 birdies and finishing strong with back-to-back even-par rounds to secure the title.
- Liam Weaver tied for fifth at even-par 216 (72-73-71), ranking among the tournament leaders on par-4 scoring and pacing the Cougars with 42 pars over three rounds.
- Kai Miyata tied for seventh at 2-over par 218 (71-71-76), contributing eight birdies and finishing tied for second on the team on the leaderboard.
- Aiden Canada tied for 22nd at 8-over par 224 (77-74-73), totaling 10 birdies and playing the par-5s at 4-under for the championship.
- Julian Gay finished tied for 32nd at 17-over par 233 (80-76-77), recording seven birdies during the tournament.

INSIDE THE SCORECARD
