Cougars Conclude Week with Four Top-10 Program Marks

SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's outdoor track & field team posted four top-10 program marks as it competed at the Aztec Invitational and the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational on Thursday through Saturday,
 
AZTEC INVITATIONAL TOP PERFORMANCES
  • Frayda Lemas posted the fifth-best discus throw mark in program history at 37.98 meters – beating out her previous PR of 34.97 meters.
  • In the 200-meter dash, Kristin Cole ran the sixth-fastest time in program history at 25.16 seconds while Delaney Brown ran the 10th-fastest time at 25.30 seconds.
  • Delaney Brown ran the eighth-fastest 100-meter dash in program history at 12.24 seconds.
 
POMONA-PITZER INVITATIONAL TOP PERFORMANCES
  • Danielle Patrick finished second out of 23 participants in the pole vault with a mark of 3.80 meters - .01 shy of her PR.
  • Kennadi Cauley took seventh out of 20 in the steeplechase with a time of 12:03.82.
  • Melissa Estrada placed seventh out of 30 in the 5000-meter run at 18:20.74.
 
UP NEXT
In its final week of competition before the CCAA Championships, CSUSM will compete in four meets at the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 16-18), the Pacific Coast Invitational (April 16), the Mt. SAC Relays (April 16-18) and the Beach Invitational (April 18).
