SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Cal State San Marcos' Jason Wells has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Men's Track & Field Athlete of the Week for the first week of the 2026 season.

The junior posted the second-fastest time in CSUSM history with a time of 21.31 in the 200m at the Ron Kamaka Open and Multi Meet. He finished second overall in the event, right in front of two of his Cougar teammates. Click here to see Wells' marks on TFRRS.

Cal State San Marcos will continue its season this week at the Rossi Relays in Claremont, California. The meet will begin on Saturday, Feb. 28.
