CARSON, CALIF. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (4-19, 3-12 CCAA) dropped a four-set decision (21-25, 17-25, 25-19, 22-25) to Cal State Dominguez Hills (8-13, 5-10 CCAA) on Thursday evening at the Torodome.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Set 1: CSUSM kept pace early, tying the score at 18-all after a kill by Blayne Seligmiller and a block from Neila Trower and Kassie Cooley. However, CSUDH closed the set on a 7-3 run, capped by a kill from Ava Hurry to take the opener 25-21.
- Set 2: The Toros jumped out to a 12-6 lead behind strong serving from Jaiden Mojica and a balanced attack. CSUSM rallied late with kills from Trower and Seligmiller, but CSUDH held on for a 25-17 win.
- Set 3: The Cougars responded with their best set of the night, using a 7-0 run fueled by three consecutive service aces from Annika Blas-Cedeno to take control. Trower and Seligmiller combined for nine kills as CSUSM took the set 25-19.
- Set 4: CSUSM led 14-13 after a kill by Cooley, but the Toros surged ahead with a 6-2 run. Despite late kills from Trower and Seligmiller, the Toros closed out the match with a 25-22 win.
