SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Cal State San Marcos'
Alan Jimenez and
Angela McManus have been selected to compete in the 2025 NCAA Division II National Championships, the NCAA announced on Monday.
The championships will be held Saturday, November 22 at Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course in Kenosha, Wisconsin, with the University of Wisconsin-Parkside serving as host. McManus will compete in the women's race at 8 a.m. PST, followed by Jimenez in the men's race at 9:15 a.m. PST.Â
Jimenez and McManus each received an at-large bid following their NCAA West Regional performances. At regionals, Jimenez placed ninth with a 10K time of 29:58.53 while McManus crossed the line at 21:00.6 in the 6K race for 13th place.
This is the second time CSUSM has sent individuals to the NCAA Division II National Championships. Lisa Flora represented CSUSM in 2018, placing 54th with a time of 23:50.8 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 2021, Shea Vavra concluded his collegiate career with a 116th-place finish at the national championships held in Saint Leo, Florida.
