ARCATA, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team (3-1-3, 0-0-1 CCAA) picked up a point to begin CCAA play with a scoreless draw at Cal Poly Humboldt (2-3-3, 0-0-1 CCAA) on Friday afternoon at College Creek Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- A scoreless first half saw CSUSM with the edge in shots (6-5), shots on goal (3-2) and corner kicks (3-1). Brittany Brown accounted for three of the Cougars' shots with two on goal.
- The Cougars had the same shot totals in the second half while having all four of the half's corner kicks.

- The Cougars ended the game with the advantage in shots (12-10), shots on goal (6-4) and corner kicks (7-1). CSUSM's shots and shots on goal totals were both season highs.
- Addison Leite led the game with five total shots while putting two on goal while Brown had a game-high three shots on goal.
- The Cougars are now 4-1-5 in the all-time series with the Lumberjacks and are 2-0-3 when playing in Arcata.
- This was CSUSM's first tie to begin conference play since a scoreless draw against Cal Poly Humboldt in 2021 in San Marcos.
- The Cougars posted their third consecutive shutout and fourth of the season.
